A “Big Brothers” program was created to help SCOLA participants take their first baby steps in the startup world. The program aims to bridge the gap between early-stage entrepreneurs and the 2470 alumni ‘top-notch’ mentors. The Big Brothers are 2470 alumni who were chosen due to their track record in the startup scene and provide ongoing feedback, guidance and advice to their mentees. Additionally, Big Brothers will guide the participants during hands-on workshops teaching them basic tools and skills needed for building their startup
Every participant will be matched with a Big Brother, according to their experience and field of expertise.
Sessions will be delivered by leading entrepreneurs in the Israeli startup ecosystem. Those sessions will be an overview of the entrepreneur's world delivered in the form of "war stories" focusing on their entrepreneurship journey.
This is the core of SCOLA, in which participants will learn and experience the necessary skills for managing a startup. The program covers all aspects of the entrepreneurship journey, starting from ideation, through execution and building a successful company. These topics will include market analysis, understanding the needs of potential customers, correlating products to specific demands, and more.
The program includes teaching of functional tools – providing a first taste of startups’ operational issues such as founders’ agreements, funding, recruiting, etc. An entrepreneur must be acquainted with those functional tools as they are crucial for a successful startup.
